Then we'd love YOU to join our Foragers Guild! We will meet to gather, prepare and store wild foods & medicines, beginning May 2016!
Members of the Forager's Guild pay a fee of $100 for the year to participate in all outings and bring home a share of their harvest and finished products, including salves, creams, infused honeys, wild spinach quiche, honey locust ice cream, berries and more!
Members also get a 30% discount on our classes and adult programs.
You will be helping us harvest and transform the gifts of the plants, and gain valuable experience in planning, logistics, plant preparation and experimenting with recipes.
Wild foods are fun to forage and have extremely high nutritional density. They also have a lot to teach us and connect us to our ancestral culture and knowledge, both aboriginal and European. By joining our guild, you will deepen your knowledge of ancient plants, ancestral history and culture, increase your sense of belonging, take your place as a caretaker of the land and engage in an intimate dialogue between the land and ourselves.
You will gain hands-on experience in ethical and sustainable foraging, nature awareness and connection, and strengthen the ties between ecological and human communities, unearthing the gifts you are meant to share with the world!
When: We have 10 outings this year, from June to October—the second and fourth Thursday and Saturday of every month!
Thursdays: 9:30-12:30; 1:30-4:30 (Community Potluck dinner) & 6:30-8:30pm
